How do I land a hosted hotel stay? Yep, you guessed it! That’s the #1 question we get in our DMs…

Top 5 Tips To Getting Started

  • It’s A Process: Build your reputation, portfolio, blog etc to reflect the type of hosted travel partnerships you want to pitch. In the beginning, your stay may not be sponsored but treat them as if they were— document them, especially your favorites in a way that genuinely reflects YOUR style + Tag! Tag! Tag!
  • A Picture (Or A Reel) Is Worth A Thousand Words: Capture fun, clear images that are a little different than the rest. It may be the same signature photo but try a different angle or perspective when you frame your image.⠀⠀

+ Clean off your camera lens. ⠀⠀

+ Make sure the☀ is behind you in outdoor photos.

+ Use your photo apps for editing!

  • WIN WIN: Think about what you have to offer in exchange for a collaboration. Whether it’s your blog, photography, following or unique voice, simply offering a hotel review isn’t enough to get you the type of opportunity you’re looking for.
  • Are You A Good Fit: Hotels are looking for influencers whose content is creative and aligns with their brand values so make sure you pitching hotels that fit your travel style. I always try to politely reach out via DM first and then follow up with an email. ⠀⠀
  • Be Supportive + Respectful Of Other Bloggers/Influencers: As a blogger or Influencer we all want to help the industry grow and thrive, but it’s important to respect other people’s time + effort. Coordinating these partnerships takes A LOT of time so before you reach out to a fellow blogger/influencer for their hard earn contacts— do your homework first. They’re so many helpful YouTube, Facebook, and Pinterest resources— believe me I’m constantly looking!

Personally, I’m always happy to help a genuinely supportive friend or acquaintance who’s takes the time to build a positive online rapport.
