We packed up our car and headed 5 hours up the coast to Cape Cod for what I knew was going to be a bittersweet end to our summer travels last year. My husband adjusted a few things on his schedule and we were lucky enough to squeeze in a stay at the Lighthouse Inn<\/a>, a beautiful and grand historic lighthouse built in the 1800s along the Bass River in Massachusetts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was late August and the weather was warm and perfect, it felt like the beginning of a novel. One that I couldn\u2019t wait to dive into and see what unfolded next. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As soon as we drove up, I fell in love with everything about this charming beachfront property. It had a nostalgic vibe that makes you feel comfy and right at home from the start. The Lighthouse Inn is in fact, a full-service<\/a> resort that sits on a private beach with an outdoor heated swimming pool, tennis courts, a fire pit, and a playground. There are also fun activities like shuffleboard, miniature golf, volleyball, a game room, and a lounge to enjoy a glass of wine or a cozy up with a cup of tea. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

My daughter in particular really loved having all the fun amenities within a few feet of each other. She\u2019s our little social butterfly and definitely the more adventurous of our two kids. The sense of family was so welcoming as we explored the property and that was certainly something we felt a connection to during our time at the Cape. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s rare to be able to stay at an oceanfront property that\u2019s steps away from the sea yet it\u2019s still affordable for a family getaway. The Lighthouse Inn offers an opportunity to really enjoy the most beautiful part of the Cape Cod lifestyle and that\u2019s beach living at its best. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
